The early weeks and months of motherhood can be some of the most trying and challenging as you adjust to this new stage of life. While most mothers would admit they do not feel like themselves in those early days where lack of sleep and constant feedings dictate their day, others continue to experience these feelings past the first couple of weeks where symptoms of depression become more apparent. Feelings of shame and guilt often keep mothers from seeking help when these symptoms arise. If this is you, there is no need to walk this alone. There is help and support available whether through individual postpartum counseling or through group counseling where moms are given a safe space to come together, bond, learn and grow as they journey through postpartum depression free of guilt, judgment and in community with others. With both individual and group, you will be met with compassion, understanding and confidentiality. To find out more about group dates and times, contact us here.

Learn More About Brazos Valley Christian Counseling
Brazos Valley Christian Counseling (BVCC) was started in 1987, with a goal of helping those who are hurting and in need. It is a family practice with a father-daughter pair offering counseling services in the Bryan College Station area. At BVCC, we seek to provide services that help individuals to live life more abundantly and purposefully. We strive to meet each person where they are through both biblically based and traditional counseling services.
We are here to offer a safe space for individuals to work on concerns affecting their mental and emotional health and do so by offering a variety of educational and therapeutic techniques. These techniques relate to an individual affectively (feeling), behaviorally (doing), and cognitively (thinking) and help each person set and work towards their individual counseling goals.
